Kerman Mandolin: A unique instrument in the world

Kerman Mandolin:

A unique instrument in the world

Kerman mandolins are unique in the world. The very concept of manufacturing is unique. In fact, you could say that we are dealing with two mandolins in one. A small mandolin is found inside a large one. This design gives the instrument exceptional power; in short, the Israeli luthier Arik Kerman has succeeded in making the dream of all mandolin makers a reality since the 18th century.

Mandolin has always been criticized for lacking in power; in Kerman, as there is more wood that vibrates, the sound is amplified in addition to being enriched with low harmonics which give it a particular roundness.

Ba'al Shem: Three Pictures of Hasidic Life - II. Nigun (Improvisation) - Ernest Bloch This musical composition was written in a disturbing period of time. At a time of exile... a time of persecution... The lonely Jew who personifies this composition symbolizes for me the final moments and cessation of the Jewish exile.
